>yeah I saw this yesterday. A lot of people the last couple of years seem to have a problem with the skinny models (although this one was photoshopped). Anyway - who the heck really cares HOW skinny the darn models are? The complaint is that it makes school age girls all freaked out or something? Like how dumb is THAT? Perhaps if these other girls were not so fat to begin with they wouldn't have this problem - and if they're not fat and overweight then perhaps some good parenting would keep them from having low self esteem because they don't look like one of ralph lauren's toothpicks.

As long as models are healthy, I have no problem. But some models get paid lots of money to lead an unhealthy lifestyle, and like it or not, some girls hold them up as role models. Should they? Maybe not, but lots aren't mature or experienced enough to know they shouldn't.

Obesity is a separate and apparently growing problem, no pun intended, and it's not healthy either.
