>In all the time I have known you, I don't know what your romantic situation is. You keep your private stuff private, which I respect. If you want to say, I am curious. FWIW I would like to picture you in a long time committed relationship with a woman as smart and witty as you.

Afraid not. Not married, never been married. No kids (that I know of). For some odd reason, while I do have good friends who are male, most of my close friends seem to be female. Don't really know why, and I certainly didn't plan it that way. In any event, I like my life. In blunt terms, the reason why I've never married is pure unadulterated selfishness. As I said, I like my life, and I would not like to compromise it, and I know that anyone who goes into a marriage thinking they don't have to compromise, is a fool. Of course, I still have to make compromises for friends, but it's not an every day, day in, day out sort of situation. That would make me crazy.

>Well, that was honest. In vino veritas.

You could have asked me that without the vino, you know.
