Personally, I think that Mike is beyond help. And even though he is not my best friend in the world, that makes me sad. Life is precious and should not be wasted.

These two messages caused me to call the police:

I hope I am wrong, but I think he may be in the worst place physcially he has ever been. With two daughters, it is not worth risking though. I don't care how angry he gets or if he was hoping for this all along. With posts like that, he should not expect people to ignore it. I called the police for his daughters sakes.

I don't even know if his address information on his profile is accurate or not, but that is the address I gave the police. They called me back to ask about his exact words online and I read the posts to him. I'm not sure if they will do anything at all or not. I hope they at least verify that he is alive and not sitting there with pills and alcohol in his system deteriorating....we all know that can be lethal.

I'd rather it be that the call was unecessary than the other alternative.
