Yeah I've been following this story. I'm sure a few people will get fired over this blunder. I don't anything about the sidekicks as I use a windows mobile device - but surely there is a way for the user to back it up on their own somewhere else?
As for cloud computing - seems like if I was to write something like that I'd still want my own backups somewhere and not be dependent on someone else doing their job. As we've seen here that doesn't always happen!
