>>Here's what Sharpton misses: has anyone ever listened to Limbaugh actually "talk" about sports?
>>
>>He is "ok" at baseball - yes, I know, he was once a baseball broadcaster - I'll give him an OK.
>>
>>But in football, in his brief stint with ESPN....when you forget about his rather silly Donovan McNabb comment...he demonstrated after 2 weeks that he really didn't understand the game that well. It was clear he was a lightweight compared to the other ESPN analysts. ESPN Analyst Tom Jackson ripped the network (and rightly so) back in 2003 for bringing down the talent level on the network by hiring Limbaugh.
>>
>>Back around 2000 or so, when ABC hired Dennis Miller on MNF, Limbaugh interviewed for the position. It's never been publicized, but there were reports that Limbaugh was the weakest of all the candidates.
>>
>>And THAT is what Al Sharpton should be talking out - instead, it's his usual racial mercenary crap. So it makes me wonder if Al Sharpton himself knows the difference between Cover-Two and a Cover-Up.

>an african american is talked down about or arrested or whatever.
It really is sickening to hear this all the time. Now these two
>clowns come out with this.
>
>They have about as much credibility as Mickey Mouse.

It dimishes those attempts to draw attention to and repair the damage done (or fix) when true discrimmination occurs.

On the link itself, I like Rush's come back:

"Now, this saddens me as well this disappoints me," he said. "I know Rev. Sharpton. Sharpton is better than this. He knows better than this. You know, I didn't judge Al Sharpton's fitness to be in radio when he wanted to earn an honest living for once, given his well-documented past as the author of the Tawana Brawley hoax. I believe in freedom and I also don't discriminate."
