I haven't seen anything (including the link you provided to Sylvain) that says he was excluded because he's a 'conservative'. That is, except for his own statements that it's a left wing conspiracy. The guy's a bad joke and personally I couldn't care less what his political views are. If I were buying a team, he's right down at the bottom of the list of people I'd want as a partner. And if I were a black player in the NFL, I'd be mightily insulted if he were allowed to be a team owner.

>I don't agree with his political views, but it is indeed a sad day in America when an individual can be blocked simply due to his political views. That is hardly 'unifying' as the Rev Sharpton seems to be so keen to ensure:
>
>"It is a moral victory for all Americans -- especially the players that have been unfairly castigated by Rush Limbaugh," Sharpton said in a statement. "This decision will also uphold the unifying standards of major sports."

>Get real. It is not about his statements from 2003, but from his political views. Be careful of your political views or you might just find yourself restricted in business, the media, or even worse one day. Amazing that the religious extremists can control so much these days. I find it amazing that it is not only concerning, but frightening to all Americans. Everyone was so afraid of Bush and the far right and yet the far left seems to be doing more damage. It's dangerous no matter right or left.
