Does Baton Rouge ring a bell? I think it would be better to check yourself into a residential clinic for a couple of weeks or go somewhere that has experts to help you. Or, if you insist on staying with someone, what about family members in Maine or elsewhere for a couple of weeks?

Really, contact experts on where to go and where to stay. There are centers, wilderness programs, residential rehabilitation centers...

At least try a forum that may be benefitial: http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/archive/index.php
