For a while, in thinner years, I'd pair with a friend and we'd buy books together, and in the end decide who keeps what. So we'd put some money together, make a larger order (that neither of us could afford on his own), then first read what the other would keep. Then swap.
Why am I mentioning this? Well, the same 12 people could buy other books and circulate them. So then 12 are in good hands, not only one. There are good ones to share.
