Have you noticed how many items, over the last years, have I mentioned here as generally unavailable, and then you'd come up with some special places where you can find them, on the web or in mudhut... brick & mortar places. That spells the death of retail as we know it, IMO. They are all trying to stay afloat by having close to zero stock (because stock=investment which doesn't return anything until it sells, and it actually costs while it sits), and having fewer items (so fewer suppliers to deal with, simpler transportation) while still keeping the appearance that they got everything.

Ah, one more vanishing item, which I still can buy in one place, though not always: charcoal. Pure charcoal, not to be confused with coal dust pressed with grains of phosphorus and soaked in who knows which oil leftovers, so it [s]burns faster[/s] is sure to ignite immediately. Anyway(, keeping in today's spirit) the charcoal is of a sane mind and isn't confused easily.
