>Is it just me, or is WPF REALLY difficult to learn?? I picked up a book and got a few chapters into it and walked away thinking "WTF????".

I have built some WPF stuff, and I can say that I loved every minute of it!!! Seriously. It took hours and days of head scratching, blog reading, and video watching, but I thought it was very doable and even fun. You've just got to realize that it's new. Yhe MVVM pattern alone was an interesting study, although I'm sure lots of WPF work can and will be done without that particular pattern.

Look, I have 17 years of Foxpro experience, but I'm loving the .Net world, and I still code in VFP every day, while I also learn MANY aspects of .Net. I just love it all.

Check out these screenshots of two items I made:

and

http://wpfholepatterns.codeplex.com/ (A geometry app) (You can get the source code for this one, since I made it a CodePlex project)

I also had to learn C# along the way, and some LinqToSql. It wall all new to me (I started studying it in June 2008), but trust me, if *I* can do it, any VFP dev can too.
