Hi Mark -
The advantage is consistancy of interface. If you're gonna run a VFP front-end to index or store the passages, then you're gonna want a clean means of displaying and/or simple editing those passages. You could OLE Bound it, but it'd be much easier to control using RTF control.
Then again, it may be possible to do this entire app in Word itself, using ADO/VBA to do a background interface to a simple Jet database.
>>If so, you could bring the sections over to a VFP RTF control (general field, maybe?) and let them edit, bold, underline or whatever to their hearts content.
>>Then, through Automation again, you could create a new document with the sections they want.
