Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
Hi,
>For those of us that are old enough, it's similar to the shifts from DOS to Windows programming. Or maybe procedural to OOP. But it's worth the effort. I started out in WPF making a transparent form with a round border containing one animated "click me" button. that in itself sold me, but I'm easily impressed. :)
I think it's the UI angle that always grabs newcomers to WPF (and, of course, it is a major chunk of the platform) but routed events, the commanding sytem and the databinding model are perhaps more relevant to developers of the usual business type apps. The Printing and Document stuff is a mind-shift as well.
Best,
Viv
