Some of those folks you see at coffee shops (not just Starbucks - some of the other less known ones are better places) with their laptops open really are studying or working.... :o) A couple of hours there each day may give you the feeling of being out in the world and provide some networking opportunities. I've met the most interesting folks (a lot from other countries and some in managment positions in local companies) at the coffee shop. If you cannot get any studying done there, it is at least worth an hours time each day socializing and networking. Especially talk to the younger crowd and get the feel and flow of the energy they project. That's what you need :o) Look at new ways of thinking. Instead of always thinking "how cool VFP was and what we could do with it" think more "what cool things can be done in that tool?" It won't be the same cool things, but it will be something new and exciting.

>>Third...hopefully you have a laptop if you're going to head to the local library. I am fortunate that my wife knows my office is just that, my office. But every person is different in that regard...just find something that works for you.
