>I did not hear about anyone being let go for lack of FoxPro knowledge. Did not hear of any let go over SQL Server, either, but may just not know about those. It was clear they wanted advanced SQL expertise, and when I saw their SPs I understood why. Not simple stuff. I had decent experience but more from the FoxPro side of passing SQL commands. For several weeks before going down there and even after I crammed like crazy on stored procedures.
>They liked my work and I left voluntarily, because I couldn't stay sober ;-) Obviously that was not their problem.
>Don't fret that they passed you by. If I told you some others they bypassed you wouldn't feel bad about it at all.
>Hang in there, Cecil. I know exactly where you are coming from. Just keep studying hard, explore EVERY angle, and something good will happen. Being older is an obstacle to be overcome, not a brick wall.
