Craig...

Just to clarify my position here...

With regard to Ted and Tamar's book.... I think you can make some conclusions here - since the new book is an upgrade from the existing 3.0 book. I suspect the 6.0 hackers guide will be a must for any VFP developer. If it is only half the book the 3.0 version was - it will still rank as excellent in my opinion.

I also see that Whil's Fundemental's book is listed as a sequel to his 3.0 book - which was excellent. I have it and picked up some useful tips from that book. So, there is a track record there. But, it is not out yet either.

With regard to the other books in the series. I *think* they will be very good as well. Each author - I consider an expert on the topic to which he/she is assigned - and have little to no reason to think those books will be valuable additions to my library.

The only point I am making is that before endorsing a book to somebody - who I might add is looking for a book to get started with VFP - it would be a good idea have the finished products in hand. At the very least - if you are making conclusions based on the posted excerpts - you should qualify your opinion as such. It is sort of like being asked to write a book review when you have not actually read the book. Somebody may be making a purchase decision based on what you are telling them. Best to give them all of the facts - especially the most important fact in that the books are not ready yet.

Once again, I know this whole commentary probably comes off as being very biased and competitive. I probably cannot emphasize enough the point that that is not where I am coming from here.
