Remember, you have to restart after you disable SMB2, especially on the server
>Hi all
>
>All of a sudden today only this one Vista client machine on startup of the application started giving an Internal Consistency Error and quit. It was working fine till now. In view of the recent discussion of SMB2 issues for VFP, we suggested that it be disabled on the W2008 server and Vista client. On doing so all XP clients stopped connecting to the server. As soon as the SMB2 was enabled on the server XP clients were able to connect properly again.
>
>As for the Vista machine with or without SMB2 disabled locally and / or on server no change was observed to the issue. So for the moment a standby XP machine is put up instead of the Vista machine.
>
>Any chances that latest online updates to Vista might have triggered this, any one else have seen this behavior? Any suggestions on what might be happening is very welcome.
>
>Thanks in advance.
