The problem is in believing that our thoughts are "real". Thoughts are only thoughts; they have no basis in reality.
The only thing thoughts can do is impact the way you feel; and how you feel impacts they way you think. A self-perpetuating cycle for better or for worse.
The problem with "smart" people is they "think" too much (usually negatively) and forget about just living.
And you will never find love unless you yourself become loveable.
