Hello Cecil, I, like you, have used Fox for years - until a couple of years ago - my company decided that they wanted all their main apps ported from Fox / Access to .NET/ SQL Server. I knew NOTHING about either. Six months later I had the first one go live - it was the simplest one maybe !, but it was excellent to cut my .NET teeth. Once you write your data handling classes ( plenty of examples on the site ) you will be up and comfortable in no time. C# is the language of choice for me , and SQL server is awesome once you get used to writing stored procedures ( I was a died in the wool procedural programmer in Fox ) and optimising your queries. Go for it Cecil - you'll love it. BTW - I'm 57 next birthday.
Regards,
Peter J. Kane
