>>>Some good news. I did go to bed and got a good night's sleep, and am sober now. It does appall me that barely a week after getting so drunk I tried to kill myself I went on another binge. That's a little scary
>>>
>>>Well, praise the baby Jesus for small favors - but here's what scary - that you are NOT in an in-patient treament facility. Mike, you have a severe problem...it is less than 2 weeks from your last binge where you had a .33 (or whatever it was) BAL...you should be in a facility. As is stands, you are "self-medicating"...and your judgement isn't exactly state of the art right now.
>>>
>>>GET INTO A FACILITY before you do more serious harm and you wind up affecting the lives of your daughters (and you've likely already been affecting them)

>>I looked into rehab this week. I can't afford it. And it's no sure thing IAC. I know a number of people in AA who went to rehab, often multiple times, and it didn't work for them.

>Talk to whatever Illinois has that is equivalent to Kansas Social Rehabilitative Services (SRS). Every state has an agency like that.

>They can put you in a rehab program you can afford (free if necessary).
Thank you for the suggestion. I looked at rehab facilities covered by my health insurance.
