Children of alcoholics typically go to extremes in one of two directions: either as over achievers or out partying and drinking and driving. Those that don't go to extremes sometimes deal with it later in life emotionally. It is not always the case of every child of an alcoholic, but is very common. Be honest with yourself Mike. Your drinking is affecting your kids. You know it, they know it, and we all know it. Anything else is absolutely impossible and if you think it doesn't affect them, you are lying to yourself and are the only one not acknowledging it.

Check yourself into a residential rehab. You could not possibly due worse than what you have been trying.
