Hi John
I replied to Viv with the XAML code before reading the other posts in this thread. If I had I would have included you in the post. Sorry about that. Anyway please read it as I have posted it to Viv
You mention a problem in my XAML: It is not my XAML, but the XAML generated by VS. All I did was drop a couple of controls on the form and line them up in design time. Nothing fancy and the button was not resized at all - the default size, as I have just reached chapter 3 of the book so far. VS generated the XAML and everything looked fine till I ran the form, and you know the result. I even posted the steps to reproduce the problem in my post to VIV.
When I try the same thing with a normal Windows Form it works perfectly. WYSIWYG, at least for form controls at Design and Runtime.
As a new (Learner) user, this is most frustrating when I cannot get the controls to line up and size up properly.
I know other people both here and in other forums, where I posted this, suggested Expression, but I don't want to have to shell out again for just an editor.
