I think the Grid was intended, to a certain extent, to give an approximation of WinForms behaviour. I hardly use it anymore. If you want exact size and positioning then the Canvas control is the one to use - but that is *completely* inflexible.
>I think you're missing some of the point of WPF. You don't place and size controls like you do with WinForms or VFP. You place controls inside a grid and let things resize as needed.
