>Hi Naomi, maybe I am doing something wrong when creating the class, can you please email me the vcx file "Sock" you created and tested on your computer. (khan.software@khan.co.nz) Many thanks.

Shafid,

All I did was - Go to the New menu/New class. Picked Container in the combobox, typed test and test.vcx as the library. Then on the controls toolbar I clicked on OleControl and picked Winsock, so it was added into this container and named OleControl1. I renamed it to Sock.

Then I tested in the command window

Sock = newobject("test","test.vcx")

Sock.Sock. displayed all the methods/properties available.

So, it was very simple.

You should be able to easily do the same.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
