>I mentioned when I posted on this last week that I had picked up a book on WPF. It is written by someone on the MS team related to WPF. It's all about how pretty you app can become. I have still not seen, and not yet heard here either, what else WPF can do other than add flash to my app.

I accept there's a tendency on the part of people attempting to 'showcase' WPF applications to push things to the limit to demonstrate what can be done in WPF. That doesn't mean any WPF app that you write has to look like a Disney cartoon.

I think we've been through this already and it sounded as if the applications you are developing (at least in the way you are developing them) would not benefit from WPF. As per my last post I accept that. But didn't you come from a VFP background? Using the same logic what did you see in Winforms that you couldn't do in VFP ?
