You said it...it's faster. It gets the app out to the customer faster and gets you moving on to other things.
IMO, you need to start thinking out of the box. You're so set on how you've done things, you're not looking at other possibilities. Rather than thinking, "here's what they need to do their job" start thinking, "if I provided the data in a different way and allowed them to easily change how they view the data, would it make their job easier OR allow the company to see things in a way that increases revenue."
If everyone thought "we do it that way because that's the way it's always been done" we'd still be living in caves.
My advice to you.. keep working with your Winforms. I'll move on to newer technologies that provide more value to my customers.
