You should be able to run the VFP5 app without rebuilding it in VFP6. There are some gotchas especially int he area of dates. If you use the SET STRICTDATE ON of VFP6 the compiler will complain about and vague data references you have in your code. Of course this is a good way to get the date problems out of the code.
