I had actually installed the MSXML3 service pack 7 before I posted this. It didn't help.
I am running windows 2008 server R2. I'm not sure if vfp8 is considered compatible with this OS. I'm not sure, but I **THINK** it's possible that my problems started after I upgraded from windows 2008 server to windows 2008 server r2.

Do you know what issues VFP has with windows 2008 server and server/r2?
