Well, my problem wasn't specific to acrobat, but yes, I agree with you. The new versions of acrobat are crap. I've changed a while ago to foxit reader and primopdf (a shell around ghostscript that's a pain in the eof() to set up properly, but is great) to create pdf's. Still have Acrobat 4 and Acrobat Reader 5 installed and sometimes use those.
