Well I would hope that MS would take what was available more than 10 years ago in VFP and improve on it for its flagship development product.
As for VFP, there's also this - "Query 2.22 - Query (SQL) just about anything" in the downloads area. Maybe not as powerful as LINQ, but, an enhancement.
