3.0b was the last revision of 3.0. It's pretty easy to convert to 5.0. You should definitely make sure you have the latest revision of 5.0. To do this, type ?VERSION() from the command window. Your version should end in 0415. If it doesn't, go to
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/sp/default.asp and download or order Visual Studio Service Pack 3.

For those who are curious, we do us vfp 5.0 but the program in question is in vfp 3.0 and there are no current plans to modify it for vfp 5.0.
