Thanks... As I feared... This is definitely going to lead to some headaches in the future...

On a related note -- would it be possible for 64-bit application to present a 32-bit interface for such purposes? Specifically, would it be possible to create a "glue" application that provides a means to effectively "up-thunk" (i.e. create application to act as vehicle for 32-bit application to utilize 64-bit app through COM).

Of course... considering that VFP code is implemented as p-code, then theoretically speaking one only need to replace the 32-bit runtime engine with a 64-bit one. Easy - problem solved! (grin) And now to locate 64-bit implementation of FoxPro p-engine and database engine...
