I am installing SQL Server 2008 Developer on my desktop. It seems to have had a problem initially with the Report Services stating that two items were already installed. I hit the BACK button twice and selected the third option in regard to REPORT SERVICES; this third option does not force an install of everything if it already exists. I won't know if the install has worked completely until it finishes the install. Then I'll look on the START / PROGRAMS / SQL SERVER to see if the SQL Server Management Studio menu item exists.

>Maybe. Did you install SQL Express or SQL Server Developer? If Express, it won't be installed over, but they'll run side-by-side.
