Absolutely. For example, Microsoft has been working with the Mono team to develop Moonlight, the cross platform Silverlight. There is also MonoTouch, which is used to develop .Net apps for the iPhone. And just recently there was MonoSpace, a conference for Mono devs that was attended by several Softies.
