Are there times when this is necessary in a compiled and running VFP app, or is it just for the IDE?
>Right click on the VFP shortcut -> Properties -> Compatibility Tab -> Settings group -> check "Disable desktop composition" option.

>>In the VFP IDE, if I make the dialog windows (i.e. Command Window, Properties, etc) "Dockable", then, whenever I drag them around by clicking in their title bar, they drag around very slowly. If I un-check the Dockable setting, they drag around very quickly, just like they did on my XP machine. At all times, the dialog will resize very quickly (Dockable or not); so it's only the dragging that it slow.

>>Another interesting note is that Win 7 renders the dialogs with round corners when they are in Dockable mode, and square corners when non-Dockable. Must be a new OS convention
>>
>>Also, the Project Window always drags slowly, and it cannot be made non-dockable, however, even though it appears to be handled like a Dockable dialog, it has square corners, not round.
