I remember in the past, MS offered online "playpens" for some of their software (Visual Studio?) but Google gets no relevant hits for ["active directory" online demo].
So, unless you can find someone willing to let you test against their AD domain, you'll have to set up your own.

- Samba 4 running on Linux apparently supports/emulates AD
