In North Carolina, taxes are not taken out. You have to set aside the amount for taxes yourself and pay when you file your taxes each year. It is assumed that the process will put more money in your pocket when you need it most and when you file your taxes, you will hopefully be employed and can pay the taxes then.

>The unemployment is $475 per week. It is paid every two weeks totalling $950.00. It is also taxable.

>>#1 You missed to note the amount of your unemployment insurance so it's a bit hard to compare. If this was intended try a career on business or politics (^.^)
>>#2 On the academic world the start of teaching marks the end of the career
>>#3 A temp teaching job will not teach you other skills then teaching
>>#4 8 Hours a day means 8 hours teaching? You need ad least another 8 hours to prepare your work. Believe me I know some teachers doing the same stuff on little kids there whole life. Also teaching, is exhausting. Forget about the idea that you might use some spare time to learn complex stuff.
>>#5 You are missled by the idea of "socialist money". I guess you have payed into that insurance, at least taxes, so it is your right.
