Hi,

I am having a frustrating experience trying to disable a couple of services that auto start by Windows. These are some VPN services.

Here is how I disable them:

1. I run MSCONFIG, go to Services tab and uncheck these 2 VPN services
2. Click on Apply, OK, Reboot.

When the PC reboots I get the message:

"You have used the System Configuration Utility to make changes to the Windows starts.
The System Configuration Utility is currently in Diagnostic or Selective Start up mode.
Choose the Normal Startup mode on the General tab to start Windows normally and undo
the changes you made using the System Configuration Utility."

Then when I click on Ok, I get the MSCONFIG again with the services I unchecked being checked again.

How do I apply the changes in MSCONFIG (unchecking certain services) and make sure the changes are saved and not reverted on the reboot?

TIA.
