I personally try to use as less OCX as possible. I used Paul Mrozowski calendar control in my applications. I believe Carlos Alloatti also has one calendar control - all VFP code (in Carlos case WIndows API) - no OCX.

May be it would be worth exploring.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
