Hi,

1. First, I need help making sure that I am on the right track in the following situation:

I have an ASP.NET application that was running on a customer web server. The URL for the application was
HTTP://SERVERNAME:900/MyMainPage.aspx
Do I understand correctly that since the URL has a port number (900) it was set up as a Web Site and not as Virtual Directory? (I tried to see if I can set a port to a virtual directory and I don't seem to be able to; therefore, I assume that it was set as a Web Site).

2. The customer lost their server and restored all applications on the new server. They set up my app as a virtual directory. To make sure that the application works with the same URL as before crash, I need to have the port number in the URL. If my understanding of item 1 (see above) is correct, I need to change the virtual site into web server. Can I do with without deleting/removing virtual directory first?

Thank you.
