I know exactly what you mean. No one can learn .NET in 24 hours, except for a few basics. But, it is a way to entice someone to buy the book, and it works every time, sort of like, "ASP.NET for Iidots".

I recently found a book in my home titled, "Chess for Idiots", but I don't know who it belongs to. I didn't know there was an idiot in my home! Ha!
