Java is a scary place to be right now with new owners and an unknown future.

I have no experience with Java, but friends that are in the know say can do everything with Java that you can do with .NET, but it's harder to do most things with Java than .Net.

Why not look at Mono?


You are right about the concerns re Java... what Oracle can do to Java and MySQL is kinda reminiscent of what M$ did to VFP...

Just checked Mono out.. will try to get deeper knowledge of it.. thanks
