Then check out when the latest update was and how many programmers are working on it full time (zero,) Then see how you can do a web app with Dabo (can't.) This started out as a great idea, but I think the two guys who were daboeling with it needed to do some actual paid work and didn't return to the cauldron often enough.

You know, the Dabo team really has to do something about the fact the website does not reflect the actual activity. I work on it daily and there are at least two changes or bug fixes a week. But I don't know what or how that fact should be reflected on the website. As far as a web solution - we have a half ass one. That said the web solution is not any different that VFP's or many other desktop solutions.

I can say at least 5 Dabo (one of which is a primary developer of Dabo) users/developers have full time jobs programming using Dabo. So we are making money. Every job I get improves Dabo because I need something different and just provide it.

Those are the facts but not the complete info. Yes it true that Dabo has at least 3 years under it's belt and I wonder if we had full time developers where Dabo might be today. But I also think that there were not that many developers of VFP at MS either. The difference of course was the full time and getting paid.

The other issues are programming ones. There so much to do still. Dabo needs better graphics - looks like VFP. But today' interfaces are much more fancy. The graphics are there just not part of Dabo - yet. Dabo does not have a Security model. Dabo needs "use again" - not available. Dabo needs to continue to improve the report writer (even though we have the best visible designer in the python world).

Try trolling the Dabo list and you'll quickly discover there lot's happening. Join us you'll happy you did.
