My French cousin, Ludovic Champenois, is one of the stars at Sun and loves JAVA, of course. He siad the best way to get started with JAVA is by getting something called JAVA Blue or Blue JAVA. You know, that doesn't sound right. I thought about doing that route, but it seems so complex, but so is .NET, frankly. I'm happy with C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET and SQL Server and some occasional FoxPro work.

>Many of our customers use UNIX, Microsoft wants to play in their own environment only so we chose JAVA.

>We are using JAVA/Oracle/JavaScript for web development anything for desktop is done by VFP which is mainly a new development related to our current VFP product.

>.NET maybe easier for desktop apps no doubt but for Web Development Java/JavaScript are very good. Our expert team can turn code very fast.
