It doesn't change my disaprobation of the death penalty an iota. It still a barbar practice that shouldn't exist in any evoluate society.

Good think that bad spelling isn't a criminal offense. :)

I still think that a lifetime sentence with no chance of liberation is a far greater punishment.

There is this misguided belief that if you throw a cold-blooded killer in the can for life, it forces them to think for decades about what they did. Well, yes, they do think about it...they think about it OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, and celebrate in their minds how they did it. Even physicians who are opposed to the death penalty acknowledge this.

In this case of the news that William posted, I have zero issue with death by lethal injection. Actually, I'd like to go back to hangings on the White House lawn.

I never debate whether capital punishment is a deterrent....it's not even that relevant...what IS relevant is the concept of justice. For those who seek out to take a life, they deserve "an eye for an eye" style of justice.
