That makes perfect sense. They're in the business of encouraging current VS users to upgrade. There aren't enough VFP programmers to matter. And we're all smart enough to upgrade without fancy advertising campaigns. :)

I don't think that's the case. Microsoft (or any other successful business) isn't going to make big decisions like this because of a few thousand VFP developers. Instead, I think they wanted to present a complete package, which must include a database 4GL. They've already said that VFP is the best environment for database apps.

Advertising isn't going to make VFP more prominent. What's going to accomplish that is us sneaking through the back door in VS.
