After working with a Microsoft Rep named Irshad for several weeks, the SMB2 issue has been elevated to a network technical lead (Subhrajyoti) for Microsoft Enterprise Platforms Support. This is a confirmed bug/issue with SMB2 and I will post further updates as I receive them.
