My laptop has 1 Gb RAM and I use it there BUT I checked HP DV4250US and it has a 1.6 Centrino CPU which is lower than my Turion 2.4 plus I switch to one of my desktops whenever I can. Would it work? Yes it "works". However you should be ready for "wait" times especially on compilation and opening say XAML based projects.
