Is there someplace from which to download this newer beta version?

>>I thought the plug in for VS was just a web thing. BlackBerry is built on a java environment, and afaik all blackberry apps and widgets are written in java.

>>From the BlackBerry site:
>>
>>The BlackBerry® Plug-in for Microsoft® Visual Studio® allows web developers to leverage existing Microsoft® based developer tools to create and debug web projects for BlackBerry smartphones.
>>
>>Developers working within a .NET programming environment use their development tool of choice, while taking advantage of key benefits and features found in web technology in order to quickly create superior browser-based content and applications. Developers using the BlackBerry Plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio can enjoy a seamlessly optimized and well integrated web development, debugging and profiling environment, all within a single tool for Microsoft® Visual Studio® 2008.

>It turns out that they have a newer *beta* varsion of the Visual Studio web plug-in that actually works properly with Visual Studio. I had to get their support to tell me that. Why in the he&& they publicly tout something that doesn't work at all is beyond me.

>>>Has anyone done any work developing BlackBerry Widget apps?

>>>I'm trying to get started with this and have installed the Blackberry Visual Studio Plug-in that is supposed to allow development in VS. Problem is, according to developer videos I should now have a BlackBerry Section with a Widget project type available when I select New Project in VS2008.
>>>
>>>Nope. I see I have a Blackberry section under Tools/Options where I can select my Blackberry Emulator, but apparently I have no Blackberry templates.
>>>
>>>Anyone?
