>Reminds me of hearing that some-one gate-crashed Prince Williams birthday party at Windsor Castle - having first taken the precaution of disguising himself as Osama bin Laden......
One of the times I worked in London (Sainsburys head office by Blackfriars Bridge) the Queen was on parade when some guy shot a blank bullet into the air. Her horse reared. The guy was arrested That night I said to Pete, the operator of my local pub, that I felt sorry for the guy, it was probably a joke gone awry. "A joke?!" he said. He was not amused in the least.
As it turned out there was a specific statute against it -- "Discharging a firearm in the vicinity of Her Majesty with intent to alarm her." I am not making this up.
