You can install VFP6 side by side with VFP9. After it's done, you may want to run "VFP9.EXE /regserver" to switch VFP files associations back to VFP9. >

I used to have VFP7, 8 and 9 installed on my PC w/o any problem. VFP6 is no different. If it makes you feel better, run VFP9 install afterwards in the Repair mode or reinstall VFP9 altogether.
